MYTEK EMPIRE STREAMER DAC
Designed in Brooklyn by Mytek R&D Team headed by Michal Jurewicz, Mytek Chief Design Engineer, Empire Streamer DAC is a marvel of engineering: mounted on custom milled aluminum chassis, all components are of the highest „cost no object” quality and are easily accessible. There are no „moving parts”, no fans, no spinning drives. CPU is cooled though custom aluminum heat pipes attached to main beautifully designed chassis lid, milled from a single aluminum block. The DAC is the highest performance yet, challenging the most expensive DACs today.

There was no denying the immersion, extremely large soundstage of tremendous scale, true tone and extension of the Mytek playback. This was one of the largest soundstages I heard at the show; the sound was rich, like an audio bath in Avalon's Andy Newmark-powered grooves, and Roxy's dizzying vocals, twinkling percussion and soulful melodies.
I’m not so sure that’s why this system sounded alive and unlike any particular overly simplified generalization of tube, solid state, or switching amp sound. It simply sounded like music, sweet music. I was so distracted and delighted I forgot to photograph the speakers (that’s the funny thing). I could have danced all night.
I thought the EMPIRE I heard at the show was the best digital I have ever heard. Your amps are Impressive.
